bio
From my earliest days, I have sought to transfigure and illuminate my world through music. At age 8, I wrote melodies on the alto saxophone attempting to capture the mystery of Satie for my environs. As a teen, I scrambled to get my hands on any bizarre sounds I could find, making music with thrift store oddities and the latest music technology. As I grew up, I played with laptop orchestras and Gamelans. I burned my scores and interpreted the results as live performances. All the while, I’ve tried to learn music from disaffected contrarians, unknown visionaries and erudite technicians across time and space. I’ve awakened many days dissatisfied, and this is my pursuit of change.
I have worked privately for my own enjoyment and consternation for nearly a decade, focusing on the craft. It’s time I brought the world in and started working with and for others as collaborators, clients and patrons. As such, I want my first project to be set on entering the world of sound recording: I will mix recordings, to sound engineer and work with musicians of all sorts. I also wish to do the work of arranging and writing for others. And finally, I wish to bring my archive of works before the light of day.
